The Figure Skating Club "KASKADS" was founded on 12 February 2001 in Riga, Latvia.

    We do not stop at what we have achieved, but grow with the times, wanting to be a reliable and safe
support for all young figure skaters. Since November 16, 2021, the club has established and registered a
structural unit - a professional sports education institution "Figure Skating Sports School "KASKADS"", 
which has been assigned registration no. 3371803497. In March 2023, the professionally oriented sports
education institution "Figure Skating Sports School "KASKADS"" received the accreditation of the sports
program "Figure Skating" 20V 813 00 1 and 30V 813 00 1 from the State Service of Education Quality, 
which confirms our efforts to be better.

Our Club was created with the aim to promote figure skating in Latvia. To achieve said aim, a friendly team of professional coaches has been busy with training young sportsmen through all these years.

Our trainees take active part in different competitions, including international, and occupy prize-winning places. In the Club, those who simply want to learn and master the basics of figure skating are also trained since figure skating is a wonderful and useful occupation both for adults and children.

The activity of our Club is not limited to sport only. The desire to attract to figure skating as many children as possible, to create a friendly team of coaches, children and parents led us to the idea that it was necessary to organise concerts in which all the trainees of our Club could participate. That is why, for several years we have been dealing with the organisation and production of ice shows which leave bright pages in the book of our Club's history and are highly appreciated by spectators.

However, the more we tried to reach successes in sport, the less time we had for the organisation of shows. Nevertheless, the results of our leading sportsmen prove that we are on the right track!

Fantastic success at European and world championships over the last few years bring hope to our young figure skaters and instil confidence in them that everything is possible! The example of Angelīna Kučvaļska inspires the hardworking and talented sportsmen. For this very reason more and more new figure skating stars are born in our Club.
